Why Buy Whole Organic Food

We have to eat to live. Conventional food is produced with the use of pesticides, fugicides, synthetic fertilizers and can actually be a genectically modified organism (GMO). These unnatural products become part of the food and when you eat it you consume these chemicals and genectic materials. The resulting product is deficient in the nutrients you need to live. You eat it and it can not sustain your health. You don’t get the nutrients you need to feel full, enegized and alive.

To clarify think of conventional food as enriched white bread. Companies took all the vitamins and nutrients out of the wheat bread, bleached it and then added some vitamins back to “enrich it”. The result you got a less nutrious bread but it was called “enriched” so you thought it was improved and better for you. It wasn’t but  people belived it because it looked new and improved. The packaging was better, but the food was not.

It’s the same in produce, meat, milk, eggs you name it. The packaging looks beeter. The fruit is colored, dipped, waxed, sprayed it looks better, however your nose and your tongue still know the truth. You don’t believe me go to the whole foods store. They sell organic and conventional products. Ask them if you can taste a conventional piece of fruit and then taste the same fruit organic. The taste and smell of the organic fruit will blow you away. If you eat meat try it with meat. Cook two fish or two steaks conventional and organic and see for your self which smells and tastes better.

Now if that same food is packaged, sweetened or salted then none of your senses are the wiser. You buy trash and eat it because the price is right and you’ve gotten used to the poor quality food, so it tastes good to you, but its not good for you. And you should ask your self is the price really right.

I know organic food cost more, but you can’t really afford to eat the stuff they sell as conventional. When you buy cheap shoes you know they are cheap, they don’t wear as well and it’s even more so for your food. If its cheap your body can use it as well and it harms you. For example organic food has at least twice (often as much as seven or more times) the nutrients of conventional with out the chemicals. And consider this when the nutrients aren’t there you may still feel hungry after eating it and have to consume more – and you wonder why you gain weight and feel sluggish. Lastly when your good health goes what do you have left. Nutrious food is the basic ingredient for good health, without it you really can’t be healthy. Think of what it costs to be sick.

You are not saving your self money you are paying people who will profit from your illnesses and the illnesses of your children. Think about it they are farming in a way that takes the nutrients out of your food so you need to eat more “cha ching” then you try to add the nutrients back by taking vitamins and supplements “cha ching” then when you don’t feel good and have to go to the doctor, herbalist or naturalist to get help “cha ching”then they have to try so many different things to figure out what wrong with you “cha ching” “cha ching” “cha ching”.

It won’t stop until you stop it buy refusing to buy non organic food. in addition you should also try to maintain your own small organic garden. You must make sure that the plants you buy aren't GMOs though. Once you get started the kids can help and everybody can learn some of the good basics of food together.

As parents, I know that many of you work overtime to give your children a good life. And you know that they need to eat healthy in order to be healthy.  That’s why I am livid as a human begin when I realize that we have been tricked into giving our much loved children genetically modified corn, soy and other products all considered to be “conventional food”. So how can you help your self and your family. Avoid the supermarked. Shop at the farmers markets. Buy fresh food it cooks fast, especially when you don’t over cook it. Grow some food yourself (I always loved to grow pumpkins). Eat more raw foods. Avoid roasted, salted or sweetened foods. Buy whole food products. Give it a try and see how much better you feel.
