The Pure Body of Jesus Christ

 

There is no happiness without God. The two are mutually inclusive. Like every good parent God wants all his children to be happy. God always provides a way. It may not be the way you want, but it will be he right way for you.

 

Children often don’t listen. They think they know better than parents and elders. They want to do whatever pleases them and have a good end. They want to eat junk food all day everyday and still have a fabulously healthy body. Some of our adult children want to drink, party all night, eat junk food everyday all day and still look and feel wonderful. As parents we let them know it ain’t gonna happen that way, but do they believe us. Even if they say they believe us do they follow it up with right action according to our instructions? Unfortunately disbelief and/or the desire to have a good time often lead our children down the road to unnecessary unhappiness. Is that our fault or theirs? Did we not show them the way and desire in our hearts that they would follow it?

 

What happens when they get into trouble or feel sick and tried all the time? We parents suffer. We do all we can to help them. Sometimes we patch one up just in time for him to run after the next bad thing. Yet when he returns beaten by his own pursuits we are right there trying all we can to help him.

 

Our heavenly father is the same way with us. All we need is to follow in the way he instructs us. Just go down that strait, narrow and seemingly dull path, not the one that glitters. Not the one where you party all the way to an unpleasant destination. The destination at the end of the strait path is a life full of happiness.

 

God has made all the provisions for you. Think about it - your brother Jesus cleared the path and he took a beating, went through horrendous torture and died to do it. That’s right, your brother Jesus was beaten, tortured and put to death so you could come safely home. So don’t mess around. Listen to the Lord’s voice he talks directly to you. He instructs you in what you should do and you can hear him. If you don’t know what to do just Ask God, Listen and Do what he says. No matter how it might seem dull or crazy just do it.

 

Poor, Noah he was laughed at by his friends and question by his family, but he followed the Lord’s voice and saved himself and his household. By God’s grace through the blood of Jesus you too can do the same.

May we have that bliss that comes from loving the Lord. May we all love and know that God who lives within our own heart. Remember to ask and you shall receive. God never fails.
