Colon Cleansing

The Colon, also known as the large intestine, is the last section of the digestive system. Your colon works to absorb nutrients, and remove waste materials from your body. The primary function of the colon is to absorb all of the excess water from the intestinal contents and use it to compact your stool. This won't take place if you haven't properly taken care of your Colon. If you don't take care of your colon a sticky, slimy mucus forms on the inner walls which becomes a perfect place for bacteria, worms and parasites to grow. These parasites then live off of the nutrients that your body requires and that leads to poor health.

If the waste materials are not properly removed the waste can be re-absorbed into your bloodstream. This re-absorbed waste is toxic to your body. Eating sugars, processed foods and preservatives feeds damaging organisms such as Candida, bacteria, viruses  and parasites living in the colon and starves beneficial bacteria such as Acidophilus and Bifidus.  These refined foods strengthen the Candida, bacteria and parasites making them dominant and allowing them to edge out the Acidophilus and Bifidus. When beneficial bacteria are dominant, it prevents the spread of disease. Not having beneficial bacterial cultures dominant in the digestive tract, leads to poor digestion, constipation and disease and the cycle continues. 

Most Americans do not get enough fiber in their diet. According to the American Dietetic Association, an average person should consume at least 20 to 35 grams of fiber each day. The reality is Americans only eat about 5 to 20 grams a day, which is well below what we need to maintain a healthy colon. As a result many American people have a problem with their digestive system due to improper diet. Eating too many processed foods and not eating enough fiber and good pro-biotic organisms has caused people to become bloated and constipated. Many don’t even realize they should be having a bowel movement 1- 3 times a day. Frankly, if you are passing a stool at least once daily, you are constipated with food sitting in your digestive system over 24 hours rotting, being re-absorbed into your bloodstream, and feeding Candida, bacteria and parasites. 

What you can do?

Eat more fiber. Whole grains, fruit and vegetables are excellent sources of fiber. Make sure you eliminate at least once a day. That's rigth if you are having a bowel movement once a day that's good, but two is better if you are eating regular merals.

How do I cleanse on my own?

Follow the program for at least seven days.

Each day of the program, take an herbal laxative, such as cascara sagrada capsules, or senna leaf tea, to assist your body with the process of elimination of the dead parasites and toxins.

Take 1 tablespoon of Bentonite clay (liquid) (This clay can cause constipation. It's job is to absorb and trap the toxins from the intestines) and one tablespoon of Psyllium husk powder (this cleans the intestines and acts as fiber) in at 12 ounces of water or juice first thing in the morning and 3 -5 times during the day. Each time follow this dose with a full glass of water.

You should include taking multivitamins and minerals to replace some of the nutrients your body needs.
