“The good is one thing; the pleasant is another. These two, differing in their ends, both prompt to action. Blessed are they that choose the good; they that choose the pleasant miss the goal.”Katha Upanishad
Staying healthy can be a bitter pill but it's well worth the effort. You simply can not expect to find anyone that is going to care as much about your health or the health of your loved ones as you do. You have to learn to depend on God and yourself. If you are well, thank God and do what you need to do to stay that way. Eat healthy, exercise, drink enough water, get enough rest and so forth. If you are sick, pray and go to the doctor, but don't stop there talk to God constantly and do everything you can to learn about your illness and get healthy.
If you’re over forty you will have to be very diligent when thinking about your health, because you will have the tendency to rationalize to yourself that any illnesses you are experiencing are all just part of getting old. Chances are that your doctor will think that too and that translates into acceptance and not doing anything about it. Unfortunately many people equate getting old with getting sick and the two are not synonymous. When it comes to health try to think in terms of how well you feel.
Getting sick is a process, people do not just wake up with a serious disease. It can happen quickly but many times it happens rather slowly. You simply start to slow down. You don’t feel as good as you usually do. You’re not yet sick but you’re not well either. That’s the optimum time to do something about the illness, that’s when you need some “stay well care”. Since you’re not sick yet doctors of traditional medicine can’t help you because there is no disease. They really know how to treat disease. However, stay well care is so unique; you actually need to figure out how to provide stay well care for yourself.
The website is devoted to providing information on food and herbs and their uses especially with regard to maintaining good health. The information available today is overwhelming. Fact and fiction flow freely. Should you drink milk or is dairy unhealthy? Will your eggs for breakfast raise your cholesterol levels? Should you have low fat or no fat dressing on your salad? It gets worse when you try to buy supplements and there are rows and rows of slight variations on the same vitamins, herbs and minerals, you have to ask your self which of them is the most bio-available?
The truth is that you and your body are similar to all other human beings and yet still unique. Health products are generally a situation where one size fits many, but certainly not all. You are not in charge of finding out what works for the typical person, you are in charge of finding out what works for you. The Balanced Body helps you do that by providing information, links to top-notch products, and online resources to help you maintain your good health.
